Animal House!
Apr. 15th, 2008 | 08:46 pm
Holy crap. Well, my roommate has a cat (no big deal) but when I walked into the apt. yesterday a dog came running up towards me! This isn't a problem really but the cat and dog need attention constantly and I have work I have to do. I'm at the apartment more than my roommate so I have to take the dog out and prevent sad puppy eyes. sigh. She's a really nice dog but I need my time spent working on posters for this venue and for Pat Kain's
bluhdfeest anthology.

I'm going to the Akron Art Museum tomorrow morning to check out the Norman Rockwell exhibit. I'm not very excited about it but I'm sure it'll be cool. If this had been here about six years ago I guarantee you I would be shittin' my undies right now. The Ohio Cartoon Research Library had a HUGE Milton Caniff show a few months ago, but I don't read the paper often and missed it. I grieved for weeks.
Today, the company that owns me had it's Christmas Luncheon. What kind of company has a luncheon instead of a party with rivers of alcohol and naked girls? If I worked for lawyers I would have all of that! OK, OK, the girls wouldn't be naked but I'm confident the amount of booze would be abundant! There would probably even be trashbags filled with coke and complementary dollar bills pre-rolled into tubes to help you snort your share. Pssst, I don't do coke...or drink (ha! I'm lying about that one)...or have sex...but I do some wild stuff to internet vixens.
Has anyone seen the Joy Division movie, CONTROL?!? It was cool but I'm even more excited about the documentary which should be hitting cool theaters near you whenever. And, speaking of movies...that Speed Racer trailer is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Lady Jane!
Dec. 4th, 2007 | 10:29 pm
mood: enthralled
Here's sorta what the first panel is going to look like. The boat is terrible...it should be more curved but I've been having issues. Now I just have to get good thumbnails for the rest of the page and then the book, which should be nearly 50 pages judging from how long the opening scene is. it could be longer but i doubt shorter than that. Those mice or whatever they are won't be there...instead it'll be dirty, tired smugglers rowing the boat...

I was lazy this weekend and didn't do anything productive again! Go me! But in all seriousness I'm picking up my T-Square from home and will start to buckle down. Brian and I have actually started "The Lady Jane" but I'm too ashamed of my shitty, shitty thumbnails to post them. I hope to have chapter one finished for an SPX-esque show in Columbus this March. Hopefully, I'll have minis to pass out and send everyone.
Last night they had a showing of "The Big Lebowski" but I didn't attend. My buddies went out there but it was raining here and I just picked up some books on the Industrial Revolution from the library, so I didn't go. I'm sure it was awesome to see it in the theater with all the fans.
Eddie Murphy is hilarious by the way. I was watching Bravo last night and one of his stand-up routines was on. I thought it was great! His outfit was hawt too!
